Text Box: Dickens Clues Contest Join the fun and pick up your Dickens Clues Contest Sticker sheets from any participating downtown merchants before Saturday, Dec 3rd, when from10:00am until 12:00pm you can search for clues. Fill your clues sheet with stickers, and have your name entered in a draw to ride with Mr. Scrooge in the Sussex Christmas Parade on Saturday Evening. While waiting for the draw, drop by Cowtown Market for a Wreath Making Demonstration, and purchase your Christmas Wreath. As you check out the many specials in downtown shops, fill out a free ballot for the Annual Christmas Basket Draw, and enjoy free hot apple cider and treats from participating downtown merchants. Top off your day with real nostalgia and take a Horse Drawn Carriage Ride passing by the many historic sites of the streets of Downtown Sussex. (proceeds from Carriage Rides will go to Big Brothers Big Sisters).

Text Box: Official Tree Lighting Ceremony The Sussex Downtown Business Association and Mayor Ralph Carr, invite you to join us for the Official Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday Evening. Jack Wedge, President of the Sussex Downtown Business Association, will join Mayor Ralph Carr in the opening ceremony. Join in the caroling and an evening of fun and nostalgia as the we light up the downtown. The merchants will be competing in a White Candlelight and Lantern Decorating Contest. As you stroll about the downtown have your shoes shined by the Shoe Shine Boy. Get a real feel for what was happening right here in Downtown Sussex 100 years ago by picking up a copy of a 100 Year Old Newspaper from the Newspaper Boys stationed throughout the downtown (proceeds will go to a needy family).
